Linda Grant Fund: Total reached

We are very very pleased to announce that the total of £6,000 has been reached in the fund raising for the Linda Grant case.

May we thank all of the many supporters who have so generously made donations. We know that it has been very hard, and a real sacrifice for many to find the cash to provide the support that is needed, and we really do especially want to send a very special thankyou to those on benefits or who are unemployed.

The vice-presidents of Press For Change really do rely on the support of the community. Without the community none of what has been achieved could ever have been done.

We would like to send christmas and holiday greetings and our very best wishes for the new year to every single supporter and activist for everything done, no matter how big or small, every action taken has counted.

We’ve got, at least, one more year of hard work ahead of us all. Writing those letters and those cheques, doing public speaking, trade union activism, and just networking and raising the issues still needs to go on. We rely on YOU, and we appreciate everything that is done which makes our lives just that little easier.

So go on - give yourselves a pat on the back, and at the same time extend your thoughts and prayers to the work being done on behalf of trans people by so many throughout the UK and the world, and pray for a happy new year in which at least some will be given respect and equality.
