The 6th International Congress on Sex and Gender Diversity

Reflecting Genders

The School of Law, Manchester Metropolitan University, 10th to 12th September 2004

Marketing Opportunities

Marketing Opportunities providing sponsorship are being offered for this biennual interdisciplinary event which is being held again in the UK for the first time in 6 years. The last occasion was in 1998 when over 260 delegates attended the 3 day event at Exeter College, Oxford University.

The host organisation, Press For Change, is the UK’s only lobbying organisation for transgender people. It not only provides information to the trans community of over 5,000 people, but also legal and practical advice to the many people who work with trans people. The Press For Change website: www.pfc.org.uk is one of the largest political websites in the world with over 12,000 pages of information, and has contributed to major legal and social changes for trans people worldwide, through its educational and lobbying remit. It is the prime source of information on trans issues for academics, students, educational providers and policy makers.

The Congress will take place in the Law School of Manchester Metropolitan University. The event will be housed in the brand new, purpose-built Law School building which is located in the heart of the city centre. The central atrium where coffees will be served and congress participants will congregate before going to panels or keynote sessions is a space with the ’wow’ factor, and is a truly inviting space in which to hang out and take time.

Website Links: A MASSIVE ADVERTISING POSSIBILITY.

Not only will your advertising reach conference participants but all sponsors and advertisers will be featured as a linked site on the Press For Change hosted Congress web pages side bar.

The PFC website is used by academics, policy makers, government departments and transgender people worldwide and in the year preceding June 2004 received over 2 million successful requests for pages. Over 100,00 of these were for the pages from the Congress web pages from the 1998 3rd International Congress.
