Gender Reassignment Services in the Capital - A Public Debate
This event has now expired
On the Tuesday 1st May the GLA will be hosting another public panel discussion on LGBT Health issues in the Capital.
The panel will be discussing gender reassignment services and approaches in the Capital and is due to run from 18.30 to 20.00 at City Hall on the Southbank next to Tower Bridge.
It is the second of two panels funded by the Department of Health and hosted by the Greater London Authority to recognise LGBT History Month in London. The first panel was on the 8th Feb. and was looking at how the NHS can better work with LGBT people across London.
This panel is bringing together a range of speakers, to give a series of brief 5-7mins presentations and then have a hopefully constructive discussion with the public audience.
The panel currently includes:
Dr Susan Schonfield — Public Health Consultant, Hillingdon PCT
Ben Thom — FTM Network London
Persia West — Place at the Table
Tracy Dean — Press for Change
As with the previous panel the report of the event goes up to the Department of Health and to the Director of Public Health for NHS London where it sparked discussion, debate and positive action.
