Transsexual Prisoners

Dr. Lynne Jones: To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department pursuant to the answer of 10 January 2005, Official Report, columns 368–69W, on transsexual prisoners, when his Department will publish guidelines on the treatment of transsexual prisoners. [221975]

Paul Goggins: The Prison Service hopes to publish these guidelines in late spring or early summer 2005.
